TNSTC have restarted the public transportation service as part of Phase 1 unlock in Lockdown 5.0 on 1-Jun-20. On Day 2 of lockdown that is 2-Jun-20, there were 80 passengers rushed into the bus not following social distancing or queue to board the bus.
The passengers were rushing to catch their seats, conductor and driver went into jeopardy as there was no social distancing norms followed. Conductor and Driver requested the passengers to get down from bus but the passengers didnt adhere to the requests.
The driver and conductor started the bus as there is no support received from the passengers. The bus with 80 passengers on road was traveling from Nellai To Nagercoil.
