Recenly, TNSTC have inducted many new services and one of the services that got upgraded was the town bus / city bus in major towns and cities apart from Moffusil buses.
TNSTC Tirunelveli is the last to receive the set of red buses and it was inaugurated with high fanfare from the public. The red bus are air suspension based buses from TNSTC and classified as deluxe buses.
TNSTC Tirunelveli before 1996 was known as Kattabomman and Nesamony transports. TNSTC Tirunelveli branch caters needs of Tirunelveli Kanyakumari Tenkasi Tuticorin districts.
