SETC, State Express Transport Corporation operates daily bus services from Pondicherry to Sabarimala. The bus service is operated every day from Pondicherry Bus Stand at 6:00 pm, arrive at Pampa next day morning at 7:00 am. The pilgrims are required to take special bus service from Pampa to Sabarimala.
The bus service have boarding point in Cuddalore Bus Stand at 6:40 pm, Kurinjipadi at 7:30 pm, Neyveli at 7:45 pm, Mandharakuppam at 8:00 pm, Virudhachalam at 8:15 pm.
The bus service is operated with non-AC class of coach with 2*2 pushback seats. The bus service would have mobile charging ports, reading lamps and tilting windows, the coaches are built in air suspension-based chassis for additional travel comfort.
The bus fare for the service from Pondicherry to Sabarimala is fixed at Rs. 940 per passenger excluding the reservation charges. The reservation charges for the service are charged at web portal and computerised booking centres. The passenger can book advance of 60 days from the date of booking.
The route no. Designated for the service is 777UD, the bus service will commence operations from 25th November 2022. The total distance covered from Pondicherry to Sabarimala Pampa is 608 in 13 hours and 30 minutes. The time taken and distance may vary depending upon the traffic and road condtions enroute the journey.
