SETC, the premium bus transport organization of Tamilnadu Government operates daily bus service from Sivaganga to Chennai via Trichy, Perambalur, Ulunderpet, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Chengalpet. The bus service operated by SETC is non AC Seater Cum Sleeper Bus Service with amenities such as mobile charging ports, reading lamps, pushback seats, sleeping berths.

Sivaganga is a city and headquarters of the Sivaganga district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Sivaganga is a rani velunachiyar kingdom of Tamil Nadu. It is an important city in this district for official and commercial purposes. Its nickname was Sivagangai Seemai.The city is located at a distance of 48 km (30 mi) from Madurai and 449 km (279 mi) from the state capital Chennai.

The bus service will depart from Sivangaga at 8:00 pm and arrive in Chennai next day morning at 5:00 am. The fare for the service is fixed at Rs.463, covering a distance of 454 kilometers in 9 hours and 30 minutes.
