TNSTC ( Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation) operates daily bus services from Theni to Velankanni via Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Trichy, Dindigul, Batlagundu, Periyakulam.
The bus service from Theni will depart from Theni new bus stand at 5:10 Pm and arrive in Velankanni next day early morning at 12:30 am, the return service from Velankanni bus stand will depart at 2:50 am and arrive in Theni at 10:00 am.
The travel distance between Velankanni and Theni is 326 kilometres covered in 7 hours, the fare for the service will be 325 excluding the reservation charges.
