First of All, SETC stands for State Express Transport Corporation, its premium bus service operated by Government of Tamil Nādu undertaken by Transport Department. SETC operates daily bus services of premium class in inter state and intra state services covering states of Tamilnadu, Kerala, Telegana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and also the union territory of Pondicherry.

At present, SETC is focused to serve the southern states of India. SETC is separated from TNSTC to operate longer distance comfort services for the public.

    Using “classic” without knowing meanings of the word…
    Chennai-Coimbatore 585/-
    Rs. 75/- extra but cannot use toilet. Conductors lock it claiming it to be “out of order”.
    So what happens to the extra 75/- I asked. “Go ask management” is the response. The arrogance!
    So, whose pocket it goes to?
