State Express Transport Corporation, the premium Transport Corporation of Tamilnadu Government in India has launched new bus service from Chennai Kilambakkam to Jayankondam. The new service is operated with SETC’s newly inducted Volvo Multiaxle B8R 9600 semi sleeper coach, the bus service has amenities such as push back seats, mobile charging ports, air conditioning vents, curtains for sun blocking, water bottle holder, book holder, reading lamps and luggage space in seat upper.
The bus service is operated from Chennai Kilambakkam everyday at 10:15 AM and arrive at Jayankondam next day early morning at 3:30 AM. The bus service has additional boarding points at Chennai at Guduvanchery, SRM, Maraimalai Nagar Bus Stop, Mahindra City, Chengalpattu Toll, Chengalpattu Bypass, Melmaruvathur Bus Stop.
The bus service covers a distance of 236 kilometers in 5 hours and 15 minutes. The time and distance may vary depending upon the road and traffic conditioning enroute the destination.
The fare for the bus service is 401 excluding the reservation charges. The bus service can be reserved for travel in advance of 90 days from the date of bookings.
The bus service can be reserved by passengers online by visiting www.tnstc.in and offline by visiting setc computerised ticket booking counter at bus stands.
