State Express Transport Corporation, the premium bus service wing of Tamil Nadu Transport Department operates daily bus services from Chennai to Coimbatore with newly launched Multiaxle Volvo AC Bus Services with semi sleeper seating.
The bus service is operated from Chennai Kilambakkam KCBT to Coimbatore via Viluppuram, Kallakurichi, Salem. The bus service is newly introduced with Volvo Multiaxle coaches B8R 9600 variant with state of art safety and comfort.
At present, two bus services are operated from Chennai Kilambakkam KCBT to Chennai, the first bus service is scheduled to depart at 8:00 PM and arrive in Coimbatore at 5:00 AM, the second bus service is scheduled at 9:30 PM and arrive in Coimbatore at 6:30 AM. The travel time between Chennai and Coimbatore is 9 hours and fare for the service per passenger is fixed at rupees 826.
The bus service can be booked in advance of 90 days from the date of bookings, the fare for the service will exceed during online booking, due to payment gateway charges.
The passenger can book the service online via www.tnstc.in / TNSTC app in play store or ios app store.
