Pondicherry First Electric Bus by Olectra for PRTC ( Prototype) 

PRTC ( Pondicherry Road Transport Corporation) will be receiving the first electric bus soon, as part of modernization PRTC will converts it’s fleets into Modern high-tech electric buses that generates zero emissions and lesser burn to government in terms of service.

Dr. A S Sivakumar and Diginataries visiting Olectra plant for inspection of the prototype bus to be operated in roads of heritages at Puducherry.

The prototype bus as per the image shows it’s a olectra bus v2 which has following astonishing features for safe and comfort travel.

Key Features of Olectra V2 Electric Bus:

1. Outstanding Structural Strength – Built for durability and longevity.
2. Disk Brakes & Monocoque Chassis – Ensures high safety and structural integrity.
3. Regenerative Braking – Helps recharge the battery during braking, increasing efficiency.

The V2 electric bus is designed and tested specifically for the Indian market, having completed over 45 city trials and 25 Crore+ kilometers across India.

PRTC is expecting to save 1800 litres per day by implementing electric bus services in the city, 1800 litres is approximately 1lakh 53 thousand rupees saved per day.
