State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) run by Government of Tamilnadu would be launching Sleeper coaches for the public shortly as per the press statement given by Transport Minister on June 2017.
During the press conference Transport Minister Vijay Baskar informed about the battery operated city buses are in trial period and would be launched soon for the general public.
The buses will be deployed post the trail run and feedback received by the tnstc officials.

About SETC: SETC is a state run bus operator of Tamilnadu, the buses operated by the fleet are AC and Non AC variants of Ashok Leyland built by Ashok Leyland. SETC operates buses more than 300 kilometres.
