The government owned transport organisation SETC have announced the launch of AC Sleeper Seater Bus Service in Karur to Chennai route. The service is hit among the general public with launch of the service, the service is operated by Ashok Leyland BS4 vehicle with Prakash Vega Chassis.
The bus is designed to carry passengers in lower deck with pushback seating feature and upper deck with sleeper options. The bus is scheduled to leave from Karur everyday at 9:30 PM and reach Chennai CMBT next day morning at 7:30 AM.

The total travel time for the service is expected to be 10 hours covering 380 kilometres excluding the traffic plus road conditions. The passengers are charged Rs.501 per seat excluding the reservation charges.
