SETC, the premium transport company of the tamilnadu government operates daily one service from Salem to Rameswaram via Namakkal, Karur and Ramnad. The service is operated with Ultra Deluxe Coach of SETC. The service is operated from Salem Central Bus Stand to Rameswaram TNSTC Bus Stand, the service have additional pick up points at Namakkal and Karur.

The ticket fare per adult passenger for the schedule is fixed at Rs. 429 excluding the reservation charges payable if booked online / setc computerised counter.
The total covered during the schedule is 429 kilometers in 10 hours, the duration and kilometers may vary due to road and traffic conditions enroute to destination. The schedule is expected to start at 9 pm from Salem Bus Stand and expected to reach Rameswaram at 7 am.

State Express Transport Corporation have launched non ac bus service between Coimbatore to Rameswaram and Rameswaram to Coimbatore on a daily basis via Pollachi, Ramnad. The schedule is operated by Non AC Premium Coach by SETC, coach is generally known as Ultra Deluxe with push back seats and Air Suspension Chasis for travel comfort.
