Kerala State Transport Corporation is going to launch AC seater cum Sleeper bus services to replace its aging fleets. The Neighbouring states Tamilnadu Karnataka Andhra Pradesh Telengana started the operating the Non ac seater cum sleeper variant years back. Kerala considering the terrain of the state has inducted a bus for testing after clear testing assessments the new fleets are getting introduced.

The buses are built in Ashok Leyland air suspension based Chassis in Prakash Capella Model at SMK Prakash Bangalore.

The bus service has amentieis such as push back seats, sleeper berths, mobile charging ports, reading lamps and passenger controlled air conditioning vents. The passengers and driver cabin is separated to reduce the engine noise and insulated temporarily.

The coach is built in latest bs6 variant of Ashok Leyland. The air Conditioned Coach is economically viable for long distance rides, increasing the added travel comfort reducing the stress and lag due to travel compared to Non AC travel.

The added fleets will help KSRTC to increase the revenue and profitability in public sector operated premium series fleets.
