SETC has invited the tender for procuring the multi axle buses of 20 numbers. SETC has invited the tenders to operate it’s fleets in par with private operators in India. The bus services are aimed to cover the regular routes with high pax in intra state and interstate routes. As per the sources, the bus service are expected to be on road in Chennai Bangalore, Bangalore Coimbatore, Coimbatore Chennai, Chennai Ernakulam, Chennai Kanyakumari.
Volvo is becoming sole bidder for high performance coaches to be delivered to SETC. The Volvo is expected to deliver SETC with BS VI variant model equipped with fully air suspension coach, fully air Conditoned coaches.
