Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation Provides Incentives For Employees

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation have announced Incentives For Its Employees, The incentives is applicable for more than 3000 BMTC employees worked during COVID19 pandemic.

The incentive is provided to employees worked from March 26 to April 20, special incentive is to appreciate the dedication in work by the employees due to the curfew imposed – COVID19. The incentive is provided to 3397 employees with Rs.250 per day allowance during the period of March 26 to April 20. A total of Rs.95.92 lakh  (grades 3 and 4) will be paid for a total of 38,370 working days.

The BMTC is one of the three Subsidiaries of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, in the context of the city’s expansion in the year 1997, Bangalore Transport Service(BTS) was formed . Later Bangalore Transport Service(BTS) became Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation. and the colour scheme of BTS was also changed from red to a blue and white combination. To this day BMTC still remains a division of KSRTC. The profits earned by BMTC are used to cover the losses from the NWKRTC and NEKRTC divisions of KSRTC.Indian actor superstar Rajinikanth began acting in plays while working in the Bangalore Transport Service as a bus conductor.
