Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is all set to procure more buses from Volvo. As part of the quality check BMTC MD C Shikha Test Drives the bus.
The test drive was done by C Shikha in a controlled manner inside the training centre of Volvo located in Bangalore. MD C Shikha is an IAS officer from 2004 batch.
The video of IAS officer driving the bus is a hit in social media, many of them has praised the officer for her driving skills and will boost confidence for women to drive such heavy vehicles.
Apart from the praise, several people raised the concern whether the officer have heavy vehicle licence for driving the bus.
BMTC have released a press statement based upon the video “The vehicle was driven at theBus trainingcentre… test driven in an controlled environment. There was no harm to the public.”
