SETC, the government owned transport organisation of Indian State of Tamilnadu have announced the launch of bus service from Chennai To Guruvayur via Villupuram, Salem, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur.
Guruvayur is a pilgrim in district of Thrissur at Kerala State, Guruvayur famous for temples and SETC gives an advantage for pilgrims from Chennai to travel to Guruvayur. SETC at present operates only bus service from both sides at same time. The tickets is available from SETC computerised ticketing centre located in Chennai, as it is a digital age passengers can also book the tickets online via www.tnstc.in .
The bus operated for the service is a Non AC Bus with Air Suspension and Push-back seat features. The bus is made in Ashok Leyland Chassis with a mode to operate heavy distance.

The bus from chennai starts at 3:45 pm and bus from Guruvayur start at 2:00 PM. The fare for the bus service per passenger is Rs. 535 excluding the reservation charges. The total distance covered by the bus is 664 kilometers. The approximate journey time and kilometers may vary depending upon the road and traffic conditions.
