State Express Transport Corporation have announced the launch of Non AC Seater Cum Sleeper Service from Chennai to Pollachi via Palani Udumalpet. The new service is route number as 464 NAS designated by SETC Officials.
The feature of the new service apart from normal coach, the coach is fully air suspension for travel comfort and additional features such as reading lights, mobile charging usb ports, berths in sleeper upper, pushback seats in lower.
The schedule is operated from Chennai Moffusil Bus Terminus at Koyamedu 6.50 pm with boarding points in Chennai at Perungalathur 7.40 pm, Mahindra City 8.40 pm, Melmaruvathur at 9.25 pm. The service can be also used by passengers traveling to Palani and Udumalpet, the bus will reach Palani at 5am, Udumalpet at 5.30 am next day morning.

The schedule covers 548 kilometers in 11 hours 15 minutes, the distance and time vary depending to road and traffic conditions enroute the destination.
The fare per passenger in seater class is Rs. 552 and sleeper class is Rs.910, fare may vary throughly under setc management, timing may vary depending upon setc management and festive season.
