SETC has resumed the interstate bus operations between Chennai and Puducherry. In the initial days of operations SETC has announced 2 regular services from Chennai To Puducherry with non AC ultra deluxe class of bus service.
At present, the government has not given any guidelines regarding to resuming of bus services in ac class of services. The coach used for the schedule will be equipped with mobile charging ports, pushback seats and reading lamps. All the buses inducted for the service is of air suspension chassis for additional travel comfort of passengers.
The service will be of great help for commuters traveling regularly and tourist purposes. Pondicherry is a favourite destinations for the people, famous for beaches, sunshine’s, nature and premium liquor.

- 6:30 am
The first schedule at 6:00 am will be operated via Tindivanam and second schedule at 6:30 am will be operated via Mahabalipuram, ECR.
The fare for the service per adult passenger excluding the reservation charges is only Rs. 175. The cost of the service is cheaper than privately owned non AC class of service.
The bus services covers a distance of 169 kilometres in 4 hours, distance and journey hours may vary depending on road and traffic conditions enroute the destination.
