SETC have recently launched new bus service from Chennai to Mettur on a daily basis. There are two services operated on a daily basis in day and night. The bus service passes through Vellore Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri.
The bus service is a hit among passengers and in demand service. The service from Chennai CMBT for day at 11.00 am and night at 9 pm.

The service covers 373 kilometres in 8 hours 5 minutes to reach destination. The traffic and road conditions may vary the total distance and time covered during the journey.
The fare per passenger excluding the reservation charges is fixed at Rs.510.
