SETC operates daily bus services from Salem to Kozhikode, SETC is a premium bus operating organization of Tamil Nadu Government in India. State Express Transport Corporation otherwise known as SETC operates daily bus services in Tamil Nadu as well to neighbouring states of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry.
SETC operates Non AC Ultra Deluxe bus service between Salem and Kozhikode, the bus service is an inter state bus service between Kerala and Tamilnadu. SETC operates non AC ultra deluxe coach with amenities such as pushback seats, reading lamps, mobile charging ports and sliding windows for air ciriculation, the coach is made in air suspension chassis for added travel comfort
The bus service will depart from Salem New Bus Stand every day at 10:00 pm and arrive in Kozhikode KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) bus stand at 6:55 am next day morning. The bus service covers a distance of 365 kilometres in 9 journey hours, time taken and distance may vary depending on road and traffic conditions enroute to the destination.
The route number designated for the bus service is 782 UD (UD stands for Ultra deluxe) with trip 2200SALKOH (KOH – Kozhikode, SAL – Salem). The fare for the bus service is fixed at rupees 427 per adult passenger. The bus service have additional dropping point at Malappuram, the bus service is operated via Avinashi, Coimbatore, Walayar, Palakkad, Mundur, Kongad,Peringode,Thiruvazhiyode, Kondotty, Kadampazhipuram, , Perinthalaman, Malappuram, Kozhikode Airport.
The bus used for service can accommodate 40-seater passenger and 1 allocated to Conductor official.
Kozhikode is a Tier 2 city in the state of Kerala, otherwise known as Calicut. Calicut or Kozhicode is famous for its spice route and also known as Spice Capital. Kozhikode is an important route for Brithish during Brithish Era and capital of Malabar district.
The passengers can reserve their tickets via online by visiting the official ticket reservation portal www.tnstc.in , passengers can also plan their travel in advance of 90 days from the date of booking.
