TNSTC has announced the launch of new EAC AC bus service from Chidambaram to Tirupur via Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Papanasam, Thanjavur, Trichy, Karur, Kangeyam.

The service is operated by AC coach with 3*2 Seater alignment like in AC chair cars, the bus service have mobile charging ports and passenger controlled AC vents.

At present schedules doesn’t have online ticket booking facility and cannot be reserved. We request the passengers to arrive at Bus stand prior to 15 minutes for hassle free boarding experience.
The fare per passenger from Chidambaram to Tirupur is fixed at Rs.380 approximately.

TNSTC and SETC has resumed the interstate bus services between Tamilnadu and Karnataka from 11th November 2020 as part of Diwali festival. Initially bus services between states was expected to close by 16th November 2020. The bus services now has extended till further notice.
At present apart from SETC, TNSTC and KSRTC ( Karnataka), Private Omni buses are also allowed to operate between Karnataka and Tamilnadu. The decision taken by Chief minister of Tamilnadu comes huge relief for the people as the the cities of Bangalore and Mysore is connected to all the district headquarters in Tamilnadu.
There are large amount of people who rely on public transportation services for commuting between the states which was standstill from 23rd March 2020.
The resuming of service has blessed the people of Tamilnadu and Karnataka as they can regularly commute to their hometowns and work locations without hassle.
The interstate bus services between Kerala and Tamilnadu are standstill, awaiting government orders for resuming of the bus services. The Kerala and Tamilnadu are well connected interstate bus services but the services are impacted from 23rd March 2020. The other routes which is affected from 23rd March 2020 are Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. We are also raise in traveler requesting for updated status of bus services to Tirupathi.

Government of Tamilnadu has resumed the interstate bus services resumed between Tamilnadu and Karnataka with effect from 12th November 2020. As part of resumption of service, the bus services are operated from Tamilnadu to different parts of Karnataka as per the interstate agreement signed by Government of Tamilnadu and Karnataka.

The passengers can book the service online by visiting www.TNSTC.in , the passengers are requested to carry their own masks, water bottles and food along the journey.
The service will be operated by TNSTC, SETC from 12th November 2020 to 16th November 2020, vice versa Karnataka RTC will be also operating special bus services from 12th November 2020 to 16th November 2020.
As you have already heard, TNSTC and SETC is operating special bus services for Diwali from Chennai to different parts of the state for Diwali. We are going share you the latest updated boarding points for buses departing from Chennai to Different Cities and Towns.
TNSTC and SETC are planning to operate 14757 special buses for Diwali from 11th November 2020. SETC is yet to finalise the resumption of operation air conditioned class of services. Interstate bus services from Tamilnadu to other states such as Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh is standstill, previously there was listing of bus services in redbus portal of SETC.
Diwali is celebrated on 14th November 2020, as the celebration is on Saturday people are expected to travel from Thursday and expected to return back by Sunday or Monday.

Tambaram Railway Station Bus Stand – Buses operated towards Tiruvannamalai, Gingee, Chethupattu, Polur, Vadalur, Panruti, Neyveli, Chidambaram, Kattumannarkovil, Puducherry via Tindivanam.
Poonamallee Bus Stand – Buses operated towards Armani, Arcot, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Tiruthani, Tirupattur, Hosur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri.

The passengers are requested to board the buses with masks, water bottles and food in need of the journey. There are no blankets or curtains available during the journey as per the health protocol released by government of Tamilnadu.

TNSTC operates daily bus services from Tirupur to Kotagiri and Kotagiri To Tirupur, the bus service operated by TNSTC is a non AC bus with 3*2 Seater passenger seats.
The bus service doesn’t have great amenities such as usb mobile charging ports, pushback seats, air suspension chassis and curtains. The seating arrangement of the bus is normal seats with normal leg space.
The bus service will pass through Ooty to reach Kotagiri so passengers traveling from Tirupur to Ooty can also utilise the service.

The bus service can be boarded in Tirupur from Tirupur new bus stand, there are two bus stands in Tirupur Old Bus Stand and New Bus Stand.
At present, the bus services operated from Tirupur to Kotagiri doesn’t have only booking available so passengers are requested to board the bus at the bus stand. There are no seat reservation counter or sales for the bus service.
Kotagiri, is a hill station located in Nilgiris district and a popular tourist destination. Kotagiri is also famous apart of tea but for homegrown vegetables in rich red soil. In the evening when you are returning you can find fresh vegetables plucked and brought from the farms.
