SETC, the premium bus services operator of Tamilnadu Transport Department serving the public have announced the launch of two ac sleeper buses from Chennai CMBT to Gandhipuram SETC Bus Stand.

The route designated for the latest AC Sleeper is 460AS, at present two services are scheduled operate from Chennai CMBT on daily basis. The first service will start at 8:30 PM and second service is scheduled at 9:30 PM.

The first AC Sleeper schedule operated at 8:30 pm to Coimbatore will connect Erode City and have a dropping point at Erode at 3:30 am before reaching coimbatore at 5:30 am the next day.

The schedule have additional pick up points at Ashok Pillar at 8:45 PM, Alandur Subway Bridge at 9:00 PM, Chromepet at 9:15 PM, Tambaram at 9:30 PM and final boarding point Perungalathur at 9:40 PM.

The total travel time for first schedule is 9 hours covering 510 kilometres, travel time and distance may vary due to traffic and road conditions enroute to destinations.

The fare for the service per adult passenger seat is Rs.1020 excluding the reservation charges.

The second schedule operated at 9:30 PM does not go to Erode City and will be directly operated to Coimbatore Non Stop.

The schedule have additional pick up points at Ashok Pillar at 9:45 PM, Alandur Subway Bridge at 10 PM, Chrompet at 10:15 PM, Tambaram at 10:30 PM, Perungalathur at 10:40 PM.

The passengers can book their seat online advance in 30 days at www.tnstc.in or at nearest SETC computerised ticket booking centre.

SETC operates buses from Cumbam to Chennai via Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur Theni Trichy Villupuram. The bus service is blessing to Cumbam and Theni for traveling to State Capital Chennnai.

The bus operated for the service is a non ac variant with air suspension body and push back seat for passenger comfort. The bus starts from Cumbum bus stand and ends its trip at Chennai Moffusil Bus Terminal situated at Koyamedu.

The bus route dedicated for this service is 172 UD and Total time taken to cover a distance of 533 kilometres is 12 hours. At present there are 5 buses operating with Online reservation facility.

The buses to chennai depart from Cumbam at 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The passengers can book the tickets online from www.tnstc.in 30 days advance of travel. The 7:00 pm bus doesn’t have boarding point at Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur instead they have a boarding point at Batlaguntu.

Passengers booking from Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur Theni request you to search Cumbam to Chennai and select boarding point as required. The ticket fare for the service is 385 per passenger excluding reservation charges.

SETC Chennai to Bangalore of Hosur Depot TN01 AN1129 Flower City Express 

The bus service is operated by the Hosur SETC branch.  The service is a hit among the passengers. 

The service uses a non ac variant ashok leyland bus.
