SETC operates bus between Dharmpauri to Chennai. SETC operates the service in route no 420, previously route no.420 is handled by UD non AC semi sleeper buses. Recently it has added 420 AC bus to ply between Chennai to Dharmapuri via Vellore. The bus levery and engine is of ashok leylamd, the body is build by arrow. The seating arrangement is 2 × 2 semisleeper and bus is fitted air suspension body for a better comfort travel.

TN 63 N 1522 SETC Trichy to Chennai UD

SETC operates buses from Trichy to Chennai and Chennai via Villupuram. Setc has a branch office at Trichy and operates to all part of the state and outer also. Setc has a dedicated booking office at Trichy central bus stand. There is a good connectivity via roads to Chennai . The travel time in bus is much lesser than railways.

The government has announced has 750 special buses for Deepawali will be scheduled from Chennai to Cauvery Delta locations such as Nagapattinam, Velakanni, Thiruvaroor,  Thirutharapundi, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Manarkudi and <!–more–>Pudukottai.

The special buses will be plying on Oct 26, 27 and 28 with 24 hours availability. The buses to Mayilathadurai, Nagapattinam, Velakanni, Thiruvaroor and Thirutharapundi will start from Koyamedu Terminal. The buses to Thanjavur, Manarkudi, Pudukottai and Kumbakonam will start from Tambaram Terminal.
