Thondi / Thondi is a village panchayat in Ramanathapuram District in Tamilnadu State, it is believed to be one of old ports used by ancient kings for transportation. SETC at present operates bus services from Chennai to Thondi via Trichy, Devakottai.

The bus service from Chennai starts at CMBT at 8:15 pm and reaches perungalathur at 9:05 pm. The service is scheduled to reach Thondi at 9:30 am next day, the bus travels 531 kilometers to reach the destination. The time taken to cover the distance is 13 hours and 15 minutes.

State Express Transport Corporation, a sister concern of TNSTC operates bus schedule from Chennai to Virudhunagar and Virudhunagar to Chennai. The bus service is a hit among the passengers to Virudhunagar and Chennai.

SETC has launched a separate route of needs of public, the bus schedule is route numbered as 182 UD. The service is a non stop bus service from Chennai CMBT to Virudhunagar with a pick up point at Perungalathur and Tambaram for the convenience of Passengers.

The bus service departs from Chennai CMBT at 5:30 pm and reaches first pick up point at Tambaram around 6:10 pm followed by second pick up point at 6:20 PM.

The bus service from Virudhunagar to Chennai starts at 6:30 PM and reaches Chennai CMBT at 5:00 am next day morning. The bus doesn’t have any pick up points in between the service.

The passengers can reserve their tickets online via www.tnstc.in . The passenger fare for the service is Rs.360 per passenger excluding the reservation charges. The total time taken to cover the distance is estimated to be 11 hours.

Tamilnadu State Road Transport Corporation operates bus services across length and breadth of Tamilnadu and Neighboring States. ERO 100 is non stop service operated from Coimbatore to Erode. The service is otherwise also know as 1 to 1 service but it’s better to be heard as ERO 100.

The service starts from Central Bus Stand at Coimbatore to Bus Stand at Erode. The bus service is available 8:15 AM, 9:15 AM, 9:40 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30  PM, 5:25 PM, 6:40 PM and 7:10 PM.

SETC operates buses from Cumbam to Chennai via Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur Theni Trichy Villupuram. The bus service is blessing to Cumbam and Theni for traveling to State Capital Chennnai.

The bus operated for the service is a non ac variant with air suspension body and push back seat for passenger comfort. The bus starts from Cumbum bus stand and ends its trip at Chennai Moffusil Bus Terminal situated at Koyamedu.

The bus route dedicated for this service is 172 UD and Total time taken to cover a distance of 533 kilometres is 12 hours. At present there are 5 buses operating with Online reservation facility.

The buses to chennai depart from Cumbam at 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The passengers can book the tickets online from www.tnstc.in 30 days advance of travel. The 7:00 pm bus doesn’t have boarding point at Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur instead they have a boarding point at Batlaguntu.

Passengers booking from Uthamapalayam Chinnamanur Theni request you to search Cumbam to Chennai and select boarding point as required. The ticket fare for the service is 385 per passenger excluding reservation charges.
