State Express Transport Corporation announced the launch of Udangudi to Erode via Karur with Non AC Variant Ashok Leyland Push Back Seater Coach. The bus schedule is scheduled with trip code 1715UDAERO and Route Number 624 UD.

The bus schedule departs at 5:15 PM from Udangudi with boarding points at Sathankulam – 5:30 PM, Tirunelveli – 8:30 PM, Kayathar Toll Plaza – 9:10 PM, Kovilpatti – 9:45 PM with additional dropping point at Karur – 3:15 AM and last dropping point at Erode – 6:00 AM.

Udangudi is a Panchayat town in Thoothukudi district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a small village in Tamil Nadu, India situated near Thiruchendur. The village was once known for Vetrilai (betal leaves) and Karuppatti.

The charge per passenger is Rs.457 without any reservation charges. The bus travels 440 kilometres in 11 hours and 45 minutes, the distance and journey time may vary as per traffic and road conditions.

State Express Transport Corporation have introduced Premium AC Sleeper service replacing the existing fleet of Non AC Service from Chennai To Ernakulam via Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur. The new fleet is set to operate with Ashok Leyland Chassis with 30 berths, the design and manufacturing of the chassis is done by Prakash under design code Vega.

The trip code for the service is 1630CHEEKMAS with route number 791 AS as designated by SETC officials. The AS code along with route number denotes AC Sleeper.

The schedule for the service is at 4:30 PM from Chennai Bus Stand with dropping and pick up at Coimbatore Bus Stand 4:00 AM next day morning followed by additional drop points at Palghat at 5:30 am, Thrissur at 7:30 am and reach the final destination at 8:30 am. 

The total distance travelled by the service is 712 kilometres in 14 hours, the distance and journey time may vary due to traffic and road conditions. The bus service have boarding points at Kerala in Kerala State Road Transport Corporations Bus Stands of Palghat, Thrissur and Ernakulam.

The passengers can enjoy hassle free travel by booking the bus via www.tnstc.in or at setc computerised ticket booking centre. The passenger fare for the service is Rs.1425 (one thousand four hundred and twenty five rupees) excluding the reservation charges when booked through online or counter.

State Express Transport Corporation have announced the launch of new service AC sleeper bus service from Nagercoil To Bangalore with its new fleet of 2 AC sleeper buses. The schedule operated under trip code 1930NAGBANAS and route code 887 AS allocated by SETC officials.

The bus service is a hit among the general public of Nagercoil travelling to Bangalore, schedule have additional pick up points at Tirunelveli, Madurai and Karur. The passengers can enjoy sleeper berth providing added travel comfort enroute to Bangalore.

The bus is scheduled to start from Tirunelveli at 7:30 pm and will reach the pick up points Tirunelveli at 9:30 PM, Madurai at 11:50 PM and Karur at 3:00 PM. The bus will reach the final destination Bangalore / Bengaluru Shanti Nagar Bus Stand at 11:50 AM.

The schedule travels 700 kilometres in 14 hours and 20 minutes, excluding the traffic and road conditions enroute the destinations. The per berth per passengers charges are Rs.1400 excluding the reservation charges.

Coimbatore : Around 150 new buses have been alloted by TNSTC to Coimbatore Zone which will tentatively begin it’s debut journey by July.

Briefing about this, Sai Krishna, Deputy Manager (Accounts) TNSTC said, “150 new buses have been added to TNSTC Coimbatore as a replacement to old buses. Among these buses, 50 will be operated as town buses whereas the remaining 100 buses will be made use for mofussil and express services”.  [continue reading…]
