TNSTC SETC MTC operations are in standstill apart from special services conducted to Airport and essential government staffs.
At present, the bus services are barred till 31st August 2020 , the decision was taken by Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Edappadi K Palaniswami post discussion with ministers, district collections and health experts.
The MRTS, TNSTC, SETC, MTC, Railways and Chennai Metro rail till 31st August ’20. The public transportation could cause the increase of transition of COVID19 to all over Tamilnadu.

We request every friends over here reading the article not to venture out unless it’s extremely necessary. When we venture out from our homes to offices hospitals grocery etc.. request you to carry a pocket sanitiser and wear mask 😷 at all times. If you are using a surgical mask 😷 request you to change it every 6 hours at the maximum. Please do avoid using of cloths instead of masks.
If you are traveling by bus, it’s also very good to wear a face shield as it supports to reduce spread corona virus. We all know the proverb ‘ Prevention is Better Than Cure’. Request you all to adhere to guidelines shared by TNSTC officials, no driver or conductor will entertain you without masks.
The lockdown in the state has been extended till 31st August 2020 as per the GO – Government of Tamilnadu. Request you to adhere to local law enforcement guidelines and support health officials.

- MTC buses in Chennai is yet to be operational, Only essential government services are operated. MTC buses are available in contract basis with lower rental.
- SETC State Express transport Corporation Is operating only essential services in the state as per the request of state government of Tamil Nadu. SETC can be also booked for bulk transportation click on the link for more information.
- TNSTC does not operate any bus service in the state or neighboring . TNSTC does operate special services in borders to carry out government employees.
