You read that right, TNSTC SETC MTC are gearing up there fleets to be operated from September 1st 2020. As per the sources, the branch office of transportation wing is full spree in preparing new timetables for COVID19 operation for the public.
As per our sources, TNSTC has already begun creating proposal of bus operations with time schedules. The standard operation procedure will be there for onboarding the buses effective September 1st 2020. The government and private bus services will be live in the state with effect from september 1st 2020 this includes Chennai Metropolitan Bus Corporations Buses.
The announcement of resuming Bus Services will be major relief to the public, as they rely on bus commutation for daily day to day life and work. Kindly note the bus services announced by Government of Tamilnadu is only applicable for Intra District Operations.
The inter-state railway operations will be live for few trains but intra state service will be halted till September 15, 2020. The Chennai Metro Rail Limited will be resuming the operations from September 7,2020 but MRTS suburban railway service will be suspended till further notice.
Government of Tamilnadu chaired By Chief Minister Edappadi P Palaniswami have dropped inter-district epass system but the epass system for public traveling from outside Tamilnadu is in force till further notice.
