Trichy – Pampa SETC Bus Timings ( Special Sabarimala 2017)

State Express Transport Corporation have announced the launch of Special services to Sabarimala on the pilgrimage season from Trichy to Pampa and Pampa to Trichy. The special service is set to start from Trichy Central Bus Stand with a pick up point at Dindigul enroute to Pampa.

The service will help the passengers traveling to Sabarimala this festive season, passengers or pilgrims can book this service in advance by visiting the nearest SETC booking centre or visit official online ticket reservation system www.tnstc.in .

The pilgrims will be largely benefited with the service and service is operated as per the Inter State agreement between Kerala and Tamilnadu as Pampa is located in Kerala. The service operated by SETC utilises a heavy vehicle bus with air suspension chassis and pushback seats for added comfort of the pilgrims.

The distance traveled by schedule is approximately is 395 kilometers within 10 hours. The journey hours and distance are approximate as it may vary due to traffic and road conditions en route the journey. 

The passengers are charged a nominal fare of Rs.495 per seat excluding the reservation charges.

The bus schedule from Trichy will start at 9:30 pm and reach first boarding point Dindigul at 11:15 pm from there bus will move to Pampa. The schedule time of arrival for the service at Pampa is 7:30 pm.

State Express Transport Corporation (Tamil Nadu) (formerly known as Thiruvalluvar Transport Corporation) is a state-owned transport corporation that runs long distance mofussil services exceeding 300 km and above throughout the state of Tamil Nadu and major cities in adjoining states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and the union territory of Puducherry.

A separate entity exclusively for operating long distance express services was conceived by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1975 and the services were transferred to the newly formed express wing of Pallavan Transport Corporation with effect from 15 September 1975. It was registered formally on 14 January 1980 and renamed as Thiruvalluvar Transport Corporation (TTC) in honor of Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. During 1990s, JJTC was formed which operated interstate routes of erstwhile TTC. JJTC was then renamed as RGTC in 1996. Both TTC and RGTC was later merged into State express transport corporation (SETC) in 1996.
