SETC have launched new services with bio Toilet feature in Salem – Chennai sector. The service operated with bio Toilet feature is known as Classic. SETC have replaced few of its existing fleet of classic for better passenger patronage.
The SETC bus timings from Salem to Chennai is listed below.

- 11.20 am
- 7.45 pm
- 8.30 pm
- 9.15 am
- 9.45 pm
- 10.15 pm
The schedule operated is tagged as route number 422Classic, the distance covered by SETC is 341 kilometres with journey hours of 8.30, the distance and time taken may vary due to road and traffic conditions enroute to destinations.

The fare per passenger is fixed at Rs. 359 excluding the reservation charges.
