State Express Transport Corporation is the premium bus operator of Tamilnadu Government. SETC is in full swing with adding up of premium fleet of buses such as Ultra Deluxe, AC Seater, AC Sleeper, Non AC Seater Cum Sleeper and AC Seater Cum Sleeper.
On 14th August 2019, Honorable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Edapadi P Palaniswamy have inagurated 118 Brand New Buses for SETC. The buses include AC Seater, AC Seater Cum Sleeper, UD Classic (with toilet), Non AC Seater Cum Sleeper and Ultra Deluxe coaches.
The majority of the buses are allocated to depots in Chennai with a total count of 35 out of 118 buses allocated.
