Southern Railways has announced the launch of a daily special train from Dr. MGR Chennai Central to Mangalore Central and Mangalore Central to Dr. MGR Chennai Central apart from this special train one more special train is operated from Dr. MGR Chennai Central to Trivandrum Central and Trivandrum Central to Dr. MGR Chennai Central.

The schedule will be operated with fully reserved coaches and there will be no service operated with unreserved seats.

02602 – Mangaluru Central to Dr. MGR Chennai Central From 27th September 2020
The train schedule 02601 and 02602 will have stopping and boarding at Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arrakonam Junction, Walajah Road Junction, Katpadi Junction, Jolarpettai, Salem Junction,Erode Junction, Tirupur, Podanur Junction, Palakkad Junction, Ottapalam, Shoranur Junction, Pattambi, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Tanur, Parapnangadi, Ferok, Quilandi, Vadakara, Mahe, Thalassery, Kannur, Payangadi, Payannur, Charavattur, Kanhangad, Kasargod.
Railway board has approved introduction of the services between Mangalore Central, Chennai Central and Trivandrum Central. As introduction of special trains between states is a major relief for the passengers and industrials.
