Tamilnadu Government Resumes Interstate Bus Services To Kerala TNSTC SETC 2021

Tamilnadu Government has planned to resume the interstate bus services towards Kerala. Tamilnadu is already operating bus services to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telegana.

Interstate bus services between Kerala and Tamilnadu is frozen from 23rd March 2020 as part of covid lockdown imposed by Centre.

The resuming of bus services will be a big relief to the public and tourists visiting Tamilnadu and Kerala. At present both transport corporation of Tamilnadu and Kerala terminate services operated at State Borders.

The passengers are required to cross the border by foot to nearest bus stand and required to carry covid vaccination certificates and RT-PCR test results for crossing the checkpoints set by Tamilnadu and Kerala health department.

The passengers are expected to carry rtpcr and covid vaccination certificates during the journey to Kerala and Tamilnadu.

The resuming of bus services will be a huge relief for the devotees traveling to Sabarimala this December 2021 and January 2022.

TNSTC and SETC operates special pilgrim buses from Chennai to Sabarimala, Villupuram to Sabarimala, Pondicherry to Sabarimala, Vellore to Sabarimala, Salem to Sabarimala, Coimbatore to Sabarimala, Erode to Sabarimala, Ooty to Sabarimala, Palani to Sabarimala in the previous years and now the resuming the bus operation in 2021 will be a blessing for devotees.

SETC and TNSTC also operates bus services to famous temple cities in Kerala such as Guruvayur, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Changanaserry, Kottayam, Ernakulam etc.

Before the lockdown SETC used to operate daily bus services to state capital of Kerala Trivandrum and Financial Capital of Kerala Kochi otherwise known as Ernakulam on daily basis. The bus are operated from Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry, Tirunelveli, Shencottah, Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Pollachi, Palani, Thanjavur, Trichy, Hosur, Bangalore, Velankanni, Nagapattinam, Karaikal, Karur, Namakkal, Tirupur, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi, Theni, Tiruvannamalai.
